I played around with this last night in Beta quite a bit and I think you guys will like it. I can't wait until some moviews are made with it.

:-)

Great.
Tell me, how does it work with triplehead?
Do replays show on all three screens, or only on the center one (like rFactor does)?

Good news. Does it function like the IL-2 one (which is great, btw)?

Cheers,

Nick

Plus now I can do a post-mortem and figure out how I'm goofing up gunnery!

And see all the stuff that's in missions that I missed - from distant flights to what happened to the other guys in the fight!

Dart, I remember you saying that you recreate some of your excellent IL2 tutorial videos in ROF once we have a mission recorder.

Is that still on the cards?

This I do not know, but will ask. My Triplehead rig is down until I move my cockpit to a better location. Took up too much space and I sold one of my three 28" monitors.

I can't reveal much more other than to say I don't see any limitations compared to IL-2's track system, but again what I am using is Beta and when I can share more I will. I don't want to promise anything that won't be there in the end.

I watched a replay of a fight I had against a Camel in super slow mo. Fun.

Actually - see this morning's 1.09 blog post for more. http://riseofflight.com/Blogs/post/2009/11/06/WIP-09.aspx

Yep, once I figure out how to fly the sim properly.

Right now I can teach one how to create Pilot Induced Occillation (particularly in the Camel), the proper methods of performing a ground loop, and the best combination of hand signals for comedic effect when in a spin (might as well do something, as everything else I've tried hasn't worked!).

Damn I didn't think about that Dart ... maybe if I hold up my right hand at a 45% angle to the spin ... or would it be my left hand ...
