Hello!!

In the last pics you posted about PT3, you used a Mitsubishi A6M5 in low res, in this pic:

Can you please post some more pics of this plane in close views so it can be used as a guide for painting skins please?? Will really apreciatte as my EAW is not working
Thanks a lot!!

BTW: Take this as a constructive criticism. I ( and note the word I, as this is a totally subjective opinion ) prefer the PT3 terrain than the newest terrains you're showing
Thanks

Stratos,

criticism is a good thing as it brings out the best in me. The pictures I show are only the early tiles of AFB. Later on 300 more tiles were created so you can construct any terrain you like.
A new terrain is underway and it's tiles will also be converted to AFB or vice versa.
Then we have a choice of 5 or 6 coastlines, 5 or 6 riversets, 3 or 4 city and village choices and about 250 field, forrest, dessert, marshes, lakes, dunes and other tiles.
The new terrain is more like the Euroblend terrain but these terrains also use a totally new approach to tiling the eaw world. It's 10 times more diverse because it has 1000ds of small patches in between the huge empty areas of default eaw.
New tiles are created almost each day, some are good, others are just not so good but can be changed later and hopefully this new terrain will keep the Launchpad players interested.
Even the PTIII terrain can be integrated into AFB and so can the semi arid terrain I created for the Australian addon 'attack on Darwin', but as you know the hard part of a terrain is to create the theatre. Terrain tiles can allways be brushed up later after you created the basic set first,
I will show the plane later today as I have to get a new player going.
brb

There's no new Pacific tileset other then the one which was created for PTIII Stratos. I can only show a small area with a few of the tiles.
The new tileset I mentioned is for the European theatre and has not been converted yet as I still need to create a few more.

Thanks for the Zero pics!! Really apreciatted

BTW The problem I have with this stile of tilesets ( and remember that this is always made from respect ), is that screen is saturated with objects. for example in the last post, I really like the look of the tileset from an altitude, but at low alts I feel that there are too many different objects into view. The same happens with clouds.

I've allways felt there's way too little objects in EAW. The last picture you see is a true to life representation of Ford Island airbase, however I never got around to finish Oahu so the tile ended up in PTIII as it had no real cities right from the start of PTII. Objects were exactly placed according to schemes I found and real pictures. This picture just accidentally have a few tiles adjacent to eachother but there are vast areas which hardly have any objects. just trees.
Pictures of industrial areas in the pacific show about 100 times more factories and houses and the real jungle also has about 100 times more trees and vegetation. A real village doesn't have only 5 houses but hundreds if not thousands. It represents my view on how this game should look and is also a test of what can be done with it. People's views will differ on what they want to see Stratos, I can only create things according to my own view. It's just part of a hobby and a learning curve which changes all the time, just like the addon.
Diversity without loss of gamespeed is what I want, so I can play it with my friends online. But we still like to see something different. Lots of objects we can hide behind when other players want to kill us. I just can't tell you how it is to fly in these worlds but it definately keeps us going as it changes regularly.

Interesting point of view and of course 100% valid.
Thanks for this nice conversation!
