Well, gun availability aside - in your mind the gun politics may account for the shootings themselves, but will not account for the clustering. And that is Werther comes in.

That's exactly the problem.
It's Indian vs Cavalry or Clint Eastwood against bunch of Mexicans again.

Why make it easy for small time thugs and rag pickers to get their hands on guns in the first place? Well, I am outta here. fearful

No, the gun availability is constant - it is the incidents and their timing that is variable - and thus relevant. Your desire to deliver a message both drags this thread into WCE and also misrepresents the phenomena.
