Is anyone using the Saitek PZ45 Throttle with IL2 and if so, would you recommend it? I am thinking of pairing this with my Logitech Wingman Extreme 3D Pro.

The three sims I play are IL2, Black Shark and ROF.

I've two. USB, work good, no complaints from Win XP to Win 7.

Much nicer to throw a lever than punch a button for power, pitch, and flaps.

Be great to have one with two turn knobs and a small wheel in place of the levers -- probably not too hard to make/ modify one -- for use with trim and pitch controls.

If you're looking for multi-engine control, you might consider a four-lever model (power/pitch).

On 2nd tought I don't think that Il-2 will allow seperate power controls per engine.

Also, I can't comment on the Saitek stick aspect (using Thrustmaster stick(s)).

Thanks guys.

I am thinking of using the 3 levers for throttle, prop pitch and flaps control in IL2 and throttle, fuel mixture, and radiator control in ROF.

One of the features that grabbed my attention was the ability to clamp it to a desk. I have limited desk space so I think it would fit my needs nicely. Any comments on how stable it is while clamped to a desk?

Vice-like clamp has been very stable for me.

It's all molded plastic, so I'd imagine that it'll crack if over tighten'd, but that take a conscious effort.

I think separate engine controls for IL2 are on a "coming soon" basis by Team Daidalos. Maybe in version 4.10, along with radar and other things they talked about. Just in case you guys are interested wink
