What is the last Nvidia driver version that worked entirely with Falcon 4.0 Allied Force? I am using a GTX 275 so I have the feeling I am pooched and will be stuck without AA if I want everything to work in game.

I'm only running a 9800GTX+ so I don't know for sure how the drivers compare, but there's a trick to getting AA to work while keeping the UI from weirding out. The problem is, I got the info from Frugal's, which is down right now, but someone else may have the info.

I am running a GTX 260 216 core with the latest NVIDIA WHQL driver.

What seems to have really fixed it was setting Anisotropic filtering in the game and having it APPLICATION CONTROLLED in the Nvidia panel. Thinks are looking pretty good now even with the -g5 option to max out graphics.

You can fix the FSAA corruption of Tac and Weapons pages by adding this line to BFOps.cfg (create the file in the Battlefield Operations folder if it doesn't exist)

set g_bForceSoftwareGUI 1

Also someone mentioned that if AA doesn't seem to stick in an Individual Profile, turn it on (OVERRIDE GAME SETTINGS) in the GLOBAL profile. Once it 'takes' you can then turn it on in the individual profile, turn it off Globally and it should be OK.

On my 8800GTS 512MB (Win 7 x64) I having great fps with 191.07. I tried the beta 195.39, but the fps was noticeable worse (4xAA, 16xAF in Nhancer F4 profile).

Have you all seen or know how to fix the Left Knee Map corruption on Vista / Windows 7 64-bit?
I'm running a GTS250 with the latest Win 7 64-bit Nvidia Drivers (191.07 WHQL).
Everything else works great well besides ALT+TAB.

Thanks!

The UI looks like a throwback to 1998... well 90% of the game looks like a throwback to 1998 but that is for another discussion.

Lots of further things to look at for that cfg, too. http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2565497/F4_AF_hidden_secrets.html

I can confirm that alt+tab doesn't work with Win 7 x64.

AFAIK the knee map artifacts can't be fixed. Only the artifatcts in the UI: recon, munition, tec ref. can be fixed.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up going back to XP and everything is working again. ALT+TAB, Knee Map, and Recon Zooming In.

Brian, to the best of my knowledge, the corrupted graphics in the Munitions screen will not be fixed by the method referenced above by Recluse. Just for the heck of it, several of us tried it prior to 5.3, and it did not work.

However, two things you can do:

1. Try starting FF5 without AA forced on (using your card's setting - leave it on application controlled or off, whatever you like). Go into your mission set up, decide on your munitions loadout, check any tac ref items you want. When you are ready, save your mission, just in case, but don't back out or anything - stay at the mission planning screen. Alt tab out to the desktop and now force AA on in your card setting. Alt tab back in. You should now be anti-aliasing enabled, and don't need to go into your munitions screen. If you want to run it later, force AA on before start up of sim - load your saved mission ready selected.

2. The first method should work. But you can often just mouse around in the load out screen with AA on and the graphics corrupted - but they clear up enough usually that you can make your selections. Helps to know your way around the lay out of the weapons of course. Rolling the mouse across the bottom of the screen usually reveals the exit/apply/cancel buttons.
