Hhmm... not many players might live that long. Seeing that we are not usually leading an entire squadron, but rather a 'flight' (to follow RFC terminology) I would say 15-20 kills and two months wouldnt be so unreasonable. But it would be better if an Oblt is not always present, so that the player might lead a sorty even at mid-range rank.

I know its not historic gospel, but in Winged Victory Yeates descripes leading a flight even as he never was promoted very high, simple for absence of anyone else that day.

Yes you're right, that's why I'm asking for delayed promotions.
In RoF Campaign, even in a lower rank, you have the chance to lead a flight consisting of pilots of yours or lower rank, which is good and also historical.
For example I had the chance to lead as a Feldwebel even as Unteroffizier in several occasions, so leading is not at all missed in RoF Campaign, a feature that is great and unique in any sim Campaign I've ever flown!
One more time Cudos to Pat! thumbsup

BTW I would also like to see more than max 4 planes per flight options...

I agree with Elephant, promotions are too quick. Personally I'm not keen on leading the flight. I prefer to be one of the pack and follow the leader.
After all he's got a better idea of where we're going than me wink

I would not want to be overall commander until at least a year of the campaign has passed. Not that I ever get that far. Proper 20 minuter me smile

In my own, "planes owned",it is the AlbD2lt listed rather than the AlbD2 although i did swap them over via one of the config files(forget proper name). It would be fun though if we could start a campaign in a AlbD2 jasta and upgrade when the late version becomes available and so on.

One of the tings that i have found very curious is whenever i start a campaign in the Fokker DV11F,the only enemy i seem to get are squadrons flying the Brequet(sp).Very occasionally,i will see the odd camel sq listed but very rare.I have tried starting campaigns with different jastas in different areas, tranfering, even moving the time on to see if the pattern would change but,it didnt.
I also tried a DH2 campaign and noticed much the same thing, the enemy always seemed to be the German two seaters.I did try different percentages for different mission types in my config setup but it didnt make any difference.Maybe it is meant to be this way and if so then thats fine but if not then maybe Patrick could take a look when he has the time

Thanks for your continued support Patrick

Well I'll be damned. I'm ready to release 7.0 and it looks like the latest update hoses me. I had counted on the mission log output. Looks like this option is no longer available. Without it I do not know how to generate the mission results files. Without those, automatic mission results calculation won't work.

Did I miss something?
Any ideas?

^^hmmm...sounds odd top me...why take it out of the game when I'm sure they knew you wanted to use it? I wonder if it has anything to do with their career mode?

@Kemal...I also found this problem which is why I wanted to know if you could edit the Jastas...only two DH squadrons meet EIII Jastas and then they only meet one each.

This is sad and weird...nope
Instead of making speculations, I think that Pat should contact directly Jason or Han via PM to find a possible solution.

Contacting the official guys directly is likely the best course of action to solve this.

Meanwhile, are there others like me who have not upgraded yet? We can test it a bit more for you wink

This is one of the reasons I always hold back updates until everyone else has "cleared" them...

I have not had the chance to upgrade yet, and am not in a rush.
I can certainly bug test if it'll help... please! readytoeat
