1.17 beta patch released for Arma1:
http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8199

Thread in BIS forums:

Quote:
I would like to apologize for massive delay with finalization of Arma I version. Release of Arma II required much more effort than we could imagine. However, we did not forget our previous title and we still intend to leave it in as good shape as possible.

We are aware there are some critical bug fixes already in 1.16 and we also managed to do some more fixes in 1.17 that we hope may increase stability and future compatibility of ARMA I.

We intend to use 1.17 as the very last EXE revision for first ARMA.

Their games might be buggy as hell; but I don't think any game company beats their support!

QFT. I complete trust them in support matter.
And this is far more important in this gaming era, where true PC titles are disappearing.
Like OBD (and hopíng that Neoqb follow the path), BIS is an oasis in a middle of a desert.
They should be rewarded.

Absolutely. I've never seen any company be this faithful to its titles. Outstanding.

just know that I don't "condone" releasing buggy games; but since they're not a major company with millions of $$ for resources, AND they make the only game like it of its kind, I can forgive them biggrin

Mr Oleg did a pretty good job when IL-2 first came out. Patches with free aircraft etc.
I'm out of the IL-2 loop now so i don't know if they still do it.
