I pretty much only have time for SP games anymore. So for me based on the the originals SP quality its a shoe in. If I did spend time on Mp the the player limit would be more to my liking.

Wow, a bit of an overreaction there. If you hadn't passed and actually went to the link you'd see the Boycot MW2 steam group's (the "their" he was referring to that offended you so much) list of members playing MW2. Some boycot.

Well it is 'THEIR' boycott, there looks to be 1555 or so people on the boycott list. As Jeevz nicely pointed out, a large percentage of these 'boycotters' are playing MW2 right now! If you can't see the humor in that I am sorry.

I agree with your post about what IW did to the PC version of the game. I actually picked up the game last night since I have 30 dollars in Best Buy Reward Cards. It plays much like the original minus the lean and dedicated server options. Boycotting the game isn't going to get you what you want. Over 70,000 people have been logged into Steam playing MW2, that is a lot of people.

Like it or not the days of Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, and SWAT4 are over with. Now all games will be cross platform games (for the most part, sims and RTS excluded), someone is going to get the shaft and its going to be PC gamers because of simple economics. They sold millions of copies on the first day only about 10% of those sales were of the PC version.

I HATE what consoles have done to PC gaming. However if I don't learn to enjoy it, I will have a very slim selection of games to pick from.

It's not consoles that did anything to gaming, it's the gamers. People have a choice of pc, console or (better yet) BOTH. The market responds to demand, not the other way around.
I hate what the automatic transmission did to driving. I blame that for being the reason most people can't drive worth a crap. I blame whoever thought leather seats would look good in a truck for the US auto industry going to crap.
Regardless, it's the consumers that are to blame, they tell the manufacturers what to make. In gaming, they said they prefer an emphasis on consoles and a pretty simplistic game. Unfortunate, but don't blame consoles, blame everyone. Might as well blame Solitaire on the pc while you're at it, that's the most played game on pc. Maybe that led to the dumbing down of pc games?
A few of us are smart enough to game on both, you don't actually have to choose one or the other.
