From the reviews I've read the PC version is vastly superior if you can run it.

yep... I got the PC version and FANTASTIC... I have read in reviews that the 360 version is sub-par to both the PC and PS3... I also played it at E3 on a Xbox and didn't like the controls at all... IMO, since only SP... PC for this game.
BTW. screens in screenshot forum.

Excellent, that's exactly what I was hoping to hear, it make the decision a no brainer, plus it's 10 dollars cheaper lol. What do you guys generally pay for a console game in the US, up hear it's almost $80 including taxes. Yup Mags saw your screen shots, that's what clued me into this game

60 bucks console game, 40 to 50 for a PC... of course Activision is F'in the PC gamer yet again by setting the trend of a 60 dollar PC game... along with the no dedicated server, no mods, only 9 vs 9 MP (on PC too)... more salt in the wound.

Activision has taken the place of EA as the "bad" publisher, and it's well deserved IMO. It's too bad a few of my favorite game companies are signed up with them. MW2, Diablo 3... Stalin and Mao could get together and publish those and I'd still buy them.

The console game is good, but a pal of mine grabbed the PC one and it looks a lot easier to play ;
For Example you can pull the camera out further and all the menus are easier to navigate with a mouse instead of a gamepad, in addition, on the 360 Im limited to 6 hotkeys,(Y X B , plus pulling RT gives me 3 more) he has the whole number bar on his kboard , plus the alt and shift modes too for a total of 30+
{edit} he also has a fast PC , I think a quad core of some sort and a good videocard, and it looks fantastic

Playing it on the 360 myself. I have not played it on the PS3 or PC so I have nothing to compare it to but I'm enjoying it thus far. Not really having any issues with the controls so far but then again, if I were to try it on the other systems, maybe some issue would come to light so I'll just avoid seeing it on any other system so I can remain content with what I have.

While I know I'm a little late to the party, let me say, if you can play it on PC do it. Honestly, I'm a huge 360 fan, and I love my console. But this game is just FUGLY on the 360. Very low res graphics, and it's quite a shame. You get a sense of how ugly it is when the high res rendered cutscenes play, which were clearly captured on a PC with higher res textures.
That said, it plays great on the 360.

also, according to the IGN review... the console versions are easier and more action, while the PC version is a lot harder and more tactical... along with the ability to move to tactical view. I had it pre-ordered for 360 but lucky for me, I read reviews before picking it up and canceled it, and got it via STEAM. A great game, different and fun... for me.

PC and PS3 versions are superior to the 360 version. That is all.

I have the PS3 version and have already sunk 70 hours into the damn thing since release.
God I love this game.. haven't had a RPG excite me as much since Oblivion.
I'm conflicted about finishing it. On one hand I don't want it to end. On the other, its an invitation to get MW2.
But still, what a great year for gaming. Some great titles this year.

Dragon Age is the best RPG I've played in awhile, it also got me to reinstall Baldur's Gate, BG2 and Icewind Dale. Of course I haven't played any of them since MW2 was released but winter is on the way, a good time for RPGs.
I don't think I could stand not having the tactical view in the console versions. Don't know why they took it out, there are other iso view RPG's on consoles.

So what are your characters like? I’m a human noble warrior with most powerful dual wielded weapons you can get in game. Starfang and Keening blade (Both with 3 runes each) – so one swoop does around 110 damage, and a flurry will do about 150-170 damage. Got the Juggernaut armor which is 18 or 20 armor plus a ton of stat bonuses. Went all the way with both female uh.. romantic interests.. Only thing that messes me up are mages. Playing on normal difficulty and still run into a challenge here and there.

Is this like Sacred 2? I didn't really get into that. I'd like something different for my pc now though. Is there a good story or is it mainly a loot-fest?

Nothing like Sacred 2, think Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights.

vonKhan, I'm a human mage level 5 lol, I get my but kicked all the time.
Ya Raw Kryptonite it's more about using your party and their abilities and goodies to strike good tactics to kick the baddies in combat, with a liberal sprinkling of cut scenes and looting and leveling up. Really a lot of fun, though I have to sacrifice visuals for frame rates on my duel core computer.

Just finished the game as a level 24 warrior. Man that was incredible. 75 hours well spent. What an epic adventure.
Hint: Make sure if you find dragon scales and dont sell them. There's an armorer in Denerim that can make you armor that'll practically make you fire proof.
Now to go through some other choices I could have made at endgame and do some other origin stories.
Then I can unwrap the COD MW2 that's been staring at me all week.

Ya that's impressive vonKhan, I've got a buddy who will play only one game at a time, and he will complete each game. This is so different than me; I've got 7-8 games going right now lol
I'm very tempted to get this game for the the xbox, I'd love to see it on the big screen
