Can a host make a game last as long as they want? So as I can host a game and fly in it myself can I end it any time and start a new game?

Where am I going with this? In EAW we all get together at a CHATZY site and TeamSpeak. The host starts the game and the others join. Once every one has joined the host causes the actual start of the online game. The result is a lot of good times and online friendships developing. If I can host and end a game as I please it seems the only think lacking might be re-spawn.

You can within the parameters set by the mission designer. If the mission is set to end after, for example, fifteen minutes, then it will end whether you want it to or not.

If the mission is more open ended, i.e. it ends when objective X is accomplished, then it ends at that time whenever that is.

Finally you can have missions that have no end and they'll just continue. Obviously that wouldn't work too well after all planes are shot down so you as the host always have the ability to end a given mission.

But in any case you can set up your session (not the mission but the hosting session) to run missions continuously in a loop. And, even if you have just one session running, the game will automatically re-run that same mission when the first one is ended.

So it sounds like I can start this with a long time limit and then kill the game as the host. Then when the group wants to start again I can just bring up the game again. Only issue seems to be no re-spawn of if a player gets killed then he just has to wait.

You don't really have to do anything ... just kill the game and it will, after a review of the stats, start up again.

The players can't respawn IN the game they die in, but when it starts up again after you kill it they, and anyone else, can rejoin as if it was a new game.
