In a piece of shameless self promotion, heres just a heads up that a all new and improved version of my guide is out.

It now features all the current planes and more.

Hope some of you find it useful

Thanks for the good work again.
Any chance to see more infos about the engines in one of the next releases?
Like detailed radiator, rpm and mixture infos (critical values etc)...

Ill give it a go Atelophobia.

To be honest i try not to worry too much about the numbers when flying. I tend to run the engine flat out when flying with full radiator open and leaned for maximun revs. wink

Yea, numbers can be very dry ^^
But they could increase the value of your guide for the little more advanced pilots, so if you like to increase the audience it might be a good idea to add some tables smile

Squid, thank you!

What if people could add pieces of "this pilot said this and that about this plane in this book, quote: ... ", (ideally the fans of certain aircraft would do that) and you just put them into the guide?

For Camel, Feathered posted a great concise "pilot guide" here: http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2893273/Download_Cpt_Roland_Sykes_note.html#Post2893273

Atelphobia, deffo mate, knowledge is power etc. What I meant was I don't know the "numbers" myself. I know I want full power in combat, so I set my settings for that. I guess I fly by the seat of my pants most of the time.

If you know the numbers I would be only too happy to include them with credit to yourself.

The idea of the guide is that its meant to be open-sourced. Any relevant contributions would be most appreciated. My experiance is limited to mainly the German planes amd I dont claim to be an expert on any of them.

But there is a vast amount of knowledge on the forums and it would be great to acumilate it in the guide to help players new to the game.

So Laser, any info would be great. I think what I will do is feature the link to Feathereds guide in a useful resources section so to keep down the size of the file.

If anyone wants to contribute, send me a pm!

Darling - I think we'd all be intrigued to know why you're called the Twenty Minuters.

George - Oh, Mister Thicko. Imagine not knowing that.

Flasheart - Well, it's simple! The average life expectancy for a new
pilot is twenty minutes.
