OK, race fans... since OFP DR don't look to be patched before this weekend, and next weekend 98% of the gaming world will probably be playing Modern Warfare 2... including me...

How about another Race Day... starting at Noon Eastern... we will decide what type of racing on that day... maybe test out a couple of the new MP races like cat and mouse and others... or just race...

A couple of quick questions since I didn't make it last week:

Are these the races where you get XP and credits for wins? And what kind of cars are you racing?

Hopefully I can make it this Saturday.

We pick whatever class & track before each race. We went up the ladder from E to R3 and back down again to F last saturday.

I bought the game after enjoying it over the weekend so I'll be there, I am happy to admit I was completely wrong about FM3. I really like game a lt better than FM2.

You do get creds and XP for racing, yes. I advanced 2 levels during our session on saturday

As for cars, you can pick any car available, either in your garage or in the store, for online races.

I'd like to get into some races with you guys as well. I just got an xbox and am brand new to the Forza series. Since my schedule is never the same, I may not be available that early in the afternoon on a Saturday, any chance people will be around later in the evening/night for a few races as well? I added my GT to the list on the other thread, but it's IShootIKill if anyone wants to add me for a few races.

are you playing all assist off you I can have, let say, ABS and TC ?

well we were/are allowing whatever you wanted right now... but official race series will be no assist... this is SimHQ after all, we have to be different then most open races. lol.

We will still allow the auto clutch I hope. I tried driving with the manual clutch and it's way too fiddly. Rev, hold A with part of thumb, shift with other part of thumb. Brake for corner, hold in clutch while trying to rev match and downshift at the same time. It's hard to heel/toe on a gamepad.

I would also hope that they allow automatic shifting. When I play on the game pad that is the only way I play and when I play with the wheel I turn on manual.

Anyways, I probably wont be playing in many official SimHQ events anyways so it wont matter much.

I just ried to drive a 1000hp supra last day with all assist off...... geez its spinning in 4th gears...........

You just dont have the precision with the triggers compare to pedals.....

The clutch is the only assist I use and I use the pad. Change the deadzones, for a little more throw in the triggers. ABS kills your stopping distance.

Why not Master... and why you quit Sat? we had a rough start, new and all, bt it got going pretty good...

and yes that clutch will be a option since the wheel dont have a clutch.
