It left Norfolk, Va., on Thursday, and it will spend the week here before being officially commissioned on Saturday. Once in service, the ship will be used to transport several hundred Marines to any hot spots around the globe."

How they got the Trade Center steel and worked into the ship. It was very emotional, for the ship builders and everyone concerned. Glad to see she has returned home and I wish her the best of service to NYC and the United States of America.
