"The ship, an amphibious assault dock, has 7.5 tons of steel from the World Trade Center in its bow. It left Norfolk, Va., on Thursday, and it will spend the week here before being officially commissioned on Saturday. Once in service, the ship will be used to transport several hundred Marines to any hot spots around the globe."

I saw a show on the Discovery Channel, I think, about this ship. How they got the Trade Center steel and worked into the ship. It was very emotional, for the ship builders and everyone concerned.

Glad to see she has returned home and I wish her the best of service to NYC and the United States of America.

S!

How completely annoying. I do not work on Mondays and the building I work in, which features prominently in that pic, would have given me an amazing view of this frown

You should get the opportunity to see her several times in the future though.
