i heard that for black shark to work with ATI 3D cards you need to disable Catalyst AI.
what do you people say. i am thinking of starting to learn DCS black shark and as you know this will take a great deal of time and effort.
i would be greatly dissapointed if the game turns out to be unstable. thanks.

If you own an ATI x2 card yes...but only if you are running the old catalyst drivers.
you no longer have to with the new drivers im not sure if the new DCS BS patch helped also.

So to sum things up you no longer have to.

I installed Catalyst 9.10 several days ago, and haven't noticed any graphics artefacts or crashing with Catalyst AI on. BUT, just to be on the safe side, I have it turned it off in my DCS: Balck Shark profile...couldn't tell any difference in the game's appearance.

I had actually forgotten all about this. I have an ATI card and haven't had to turn catalyst AI off to play black shark for a while.

Just keep your game and your drivers up to date, DCS and ATI are playing nicely together now.
