This aircraft was fixed and is airworthy again they just don't fly it.

It's a shame that they don't fly it anymore but I can understand why they don't.

I also retract my previous comment as my memory failed me and it was in fact damaged following an emergency landing due to engine trouble and not through pilot error so my apologies for that.

It was fully repaired but they decided not to to risk it again and keep it firmly on the ground. I am glad I have had the pleasure of seeing it flying on several occasions.

Oh, look, his shoulders is hardly even tuching the cockpitsides. And his head isnt 2/3 out of the top canopyglass!!

Is this Bf modified in some way?

It was certainly a snug fit especially for the larger pilot with all his gear on.

It really was. I don't know who he was talking about but Gunther Rall said a friend of his went threw the war bent in half while flying a 109 because he was tall....maybe Hannes Trautloft.
