Well isn't that just nifty. The two top dogs in the controller business TM and CH both announcing publicly within just a week or so of each other A-10 HOTAS items but neither one releasing any photographs or other information.

I guess that CH couldn't stay silent after Logitech jumped into the high-end HOTAS market with the G940, Saitek announces the X65F, and Guillemot/Thrustmaster starts teasing us with a "HOTAS Warthog". The timing just seems to be way too close to be mere coincidence.

And, sure enough, CH's new HOTAS offering is A-10-based, just like we'd expect the HOTAS Warthog to be.

I wonder if they'll get all the buttons and switches intact (Fighterstick was missing the second trigger detent and paddle switch that the Cougar and real F-16 stick have), as well as provide some great ergonomics this time (the main reason why I sold most of my CH stuff save for the DT225 trackball).

Yeah this looks like it could all get very interesting for us simmers! It's great and yet a little surprising that high end controllers are being developed by different parties now. I wonder how many of us would have taken a bet a few years ago that this situation would have arisen?

Does anyone know whether these are going to be controllers available to the general public? And tell me more about this Reaper Console .... that I'd definitely like to know more about!

Cheers

Well now I know where Saitek's missed sale might go. Although I'd like to see pics too and comparisons, even though CH stuff is great I'd like to see everything coming out released and compared.

LOL!

I just wrote about this in another thread. Didn't see this one. Good thing I just responded rather than make a whole new thread like I planned - although maybe I would have noticed this one better.

I can't find anything other than what's in the press announcement. Do you have links to photos and further information on what it is and what its capabilities are Ghost?

Cheers

James

Well all I can do is assume for now. But, if you were to Google: Reaper GCS you may get an idea of what's in store, for our UAV flying Aviators, only produced by CH Products. I'm ONLY GUESSING here, but, I'd suspect with Hi Rev Simulators no longer on the market? (can't seem to find them on the interweb any way), CH Products is picking up that ball and RUNNING with it.
