Is Over Flanders Field's website the only place where OFF can be purchased?

That $9 shipping fee they charge does not seem reasonable in this day and age. Why so much?

There is an announcement stickied above for a special discount, but I don't understand how the shipping could cost that much for posting a disk. I also don't understand why they don't offer it as pay to download.

Thanks

The only place to order the OFF dvd is at the OFF homepage, yes.
The DVD comes from a professional distributor. It may seem like a lot of money but if you are a fan of genre and have an appreciation for the period you will not bemoan the shipping charge after you have some flight time. Why no d/l? Probably to discourage theft and it's a huge program and not everyone has high-speed yet. At any rate it is what it is. AFAIK it will not change. Remember you also need a copy of MS CFS3 to run OFF. Visit the website and checkout the forum. Many questions have already been asked and are documented with answers there. The guys on the forum are very helpful and would like to have you share in the OFF experience.

Hello,

ahem, am i seeing things ?

The same question has been asked yesterday by Billermo, with lots of answers and explanations from Polovski, Winding Man, Laser, and others, now this post seems to have vanished (deleted?!) and the same question is being asked again ?

Yes, once more: 9 $ worldwide, regardless where you are. Phase 2 was free, and still is if you find someone who sends you a DVD, but not P3 - only ordering on the OFF website.

Greetings,
Catfish

Yes I've wondered myself with what happened to the other post...

Rabu, kind praise from you as I consider some of your shots the best I've seen. I am only an opportunist. The OFF dev. team, yourself included, deserve all the credit. Our forum skinners have also provided some nice skins and skin modifications as well. My thanks to all.

Thanks. I'll probably order it anyway. I did not understand that the shipping fee is same to anywhere in the world. (that reply "one size fits all" didnt make sense to me when I first read it) I'm in Vietnam and I doubt it would make it through customs though. For some reason the post office in this country has the idea that no disks of any kind can enter the country. When I bought CFS3, customs confiscated it from my friend at the airport. (since then I went back to the States and 'smuggled' it back here myself.)

About the other thread, I noticed it wasn't on the forum and never did see the responses to it (I wondered if I had not hit SUBMIT by accident, or that it didn't go through), so I reposted it. If it was here and there were lots of replies, it must have been deleted -- I have to admit I was a bit miffed when I wrote it after seeing that shipping fee, and that tone was in that first post. My guess is that either my post or possibly some heated responses to it (which I never got to see!) might have led to its being deleted. Fair enough, my bad.
