As a follow up to the 7217 error discussion in another forum a user got an error 803 instead of 7217.
We searched the code, it was listed as a font file error, but there was no obvious structure which generated this error.

My guess was that it is due to a corrupted "fonts.cdf", so I renamed my "fonts.cdf" as "fonts.cdfx", copied my "flt.cdf" and re-named the copy as "fonts.cdf".
Launching EAW produced an immediate 803 error.

So if you ever get the 803 error then it may well be due to a corrupted "fonts.cdf" file.

Hi,

its not a corrupted fonts.cdf, it happen when the user dont applay the EAW1.2 patch over the default CD setup before patching with EAW1.28.
With EAW1.2 a new fonts.cdf got introduced.

Greetings,

Knegel
