Has anyone had any luck in getting 2Wire's 802.11G USB adapter working in Win7? I've tried using the Vista64 drivers from their site, but they're not working for me.

For the Cougar, I had to install the drivers in Vista compatibility mode. Try that?

Right click the file, Properties, Compatibility Tab, Compatibility Mode box, set to desired OS using drop down menu.

Good luck!

I wish that worked with this file, but sadly, it's not an exe. It's a set of three files - one SYS, one CAT and one INF file. Trying to get Windows to manually install these files via the Device Manager screen does not work. frown

Just got an e-mail from 2Wire's tech support telling me that they do not have Win7-compatible drivers for my adapter. So, it's off to buy a new adapter that does...

UTR, you should not have had to have done this for the Cougar 64-bit drivers at all... Are you sure you installed the newest 64-bit drivers for the Cougar?

This is the file I used...

2007_HCO_VISTA_64_RC1

Maybe RC1 is not the most current?

I would tell them to get on their game since W7 has been officially released for everyone on 22nd October, and for coporate customers or technet developers much earlier. To not have W7 drivers for a product is simple bad customer service.

I totally agree, considering how long the OS has been out there in testing. All of my other hardware had Win7-64 drivers ready to be downloaded on the 22nd.
