The radio comms are so low I cannot hear them most of the time. Is there anyway to amp these up so that I can hear what they are saying.

Bert67,

The way I do it is to open the game.cfg file (which can be found in the TAW\Program folder) and manually edit the SPEECH section and the SOUNDFX section as follows:

SPEECH=1,64,1
BETTY=1,64
SOUNDFX=1,24,12,24

Then adjust your sound card volume to your comfort level.

It may be necessary to readjust these again in the future if you make changes in the OPTIONS section of game because TAW will often revert to preset SPEECH and SOUNDFX levels.

Have you ever tried other combos of the Numbers on resetting the above items? These seem to work but could still use some more output. I had to turn down the external and internal noise in the cockpit to almost nothing for these to work for me. I haven't tried anything new as of yet but I am wondering if by lowering the Middle Nos like you have to a smaller No. i.e. 64 to 42 what effect does this have on the sound? If you have ever done this let me know please.
Thanks again for the advice.
Bert

Certainly. The first number ("1") turns the feature on so you won't want to change that one. Nor the last "1" in SPEECH because it toggles the SPEECH QUALITY to HIGH (LOW=0, HIGH=1). The other values can be modified to your personal satisfaction, with one guiding suggestion, use numbers that are divisible by 4. Instead of 42 try 44 or 48. Hope that helps.
