Hi,
I've beening thinking of dusting off the old G25 and going racing again. However, I'm looking for some good MODS for either sim. I prefer to find a really good old school MOD. I'm most interested in WSC era of the late 60s early 70s. I saw that Rfactor had a WSC 1970 MOD. I was wondering if GTR2/GT-Legends had such a MOD. I'd love to get my hands on the might 917 and hit LeMans smile

Thanks,
HB

PS. I would be interested in almost any Porsche based mod since I own a 1970 911T smile I am biased because of this fact, lol.

One of the best old school mods around is the Power&Glory mod for GTR2. A true masterpiece!

Look here for more info and download links: http://www.gtlw.co.uk/

Hi,
I have that downloaded, but from what I've read, it's pretty much the same as GT-Legends. I was looking more for a mod similar to WSC 1970 for Rfactor but for GTR2/GTlegends. I finished watching LeMans w/ McQueen the other day and it really got me thinking of driving the 917 smile I'm surprised that there aren't more mods w/these types of MODS.

Another mod that would be interesting would be a series that featured the 962, Jags, etc of the 80s.

Any info would be great.

Yes and no. GT Lengends simulates a "historics" series - older cars raced on modern tracks, with a few modern parts on the cars to make them a bit safer.

Power & Glory simulates true 60s- and 70s-era GT racing series, where you can drive cars they way they were back then. Putting these cars into GTR2 means that you can also drive them on tracks that were the way they were back then (although to be fair I don't know if those modded tracks actually exist).

I uninstalled GT Legends and substituted the Power & Glory mod for GTR2. I prefer P&G.

Thanks gents. So, I guess there are no MODS out for GTR2/GT-Legends that would include the Porsche 917k or Ferrari 512? I would like to set up race that mimics the "LeMans" smile

You may not yet be able to recreate LeMans 1970. But I just did LeMans 1967 in a Porsche 906 Langheck against Ford GT40s, C2 Vettes, 911 RSR and Shelby Cobras, Jaguar E-types and more in Power & Glory Modv 2.1 for GTR2. Totaly awsome to drive the 1967 version of LeSarthe with no Chicanes on Mulsanne not even the Porsche curves were up then. Just a straight shot from WhiteHouse past the Granstands into Dunlop. I did a 15 lap race with time progression and drove from afternoon conditions into night conditions. Way cool.

P&G just keeps getting better, its the sim that GT Legends should have been. So far there are no Ferrari P cars but there are 275 GTB/C and 250 SWBs. I got to play Sterling Moss with the 250 SWB in Rob Walker Blue at Goodwood in the rain!

Anybody into sim racing owes it to themselves to get GTR2 and GT Legends ( they can be bought together for like $20) and install the Power and Glory Mod. It offers too much to ignore: classic cars, classic tracks without chicanes, fantastic tire physics modeling and rain and night racing.

Give Power & Glory a try. I realy don't think you will regret it.
