Installed FF5.3 - followed instructions (!), and all seems to run well, looks great. But in the name of everything sacred, does anyone know how to turn off the heavy breathing in the pit, by the "pilot"? PLEASE? I can't take much more trapped in the pit with this madman breathing down my neck. And I don't like the look in his eye either...

Try to go to the FFViper Config Editor in your FF install. Let it point to the FFViper exe and get rid of it when you find cockpit settings/pilot Breathing.

Bless you, Norwegian. I may be able to climb back from the Pit of Despair now. Especially since - so far - all else seems to be running well in 5.3

I could never understand why one would want to hear the pilot breathing.

And...defaults to "on"

And this is actually one thing I miss in AF.
