Flight simulator folder that is.

FSX folder alone is 58GB with various other 3rd party folders spread out on the hard drive.
FS9 folder is 8.15GB

FSX, 65.8GB - plus a few folders.
FS9, a little over 25GB

I dread the moment I have to reinstall.

I did notice that since using the free edition of UltimateDefrag ( www.disktrix.com ) loading time has gone down immensely - and framerates have gone up.

Just a measly 30.4GB so far.....

B.T.W. Should the FSX main Folder and all sub-folders be checked "Read Only" or not?

No need, just use the default settings as set when installing it. Some files (XML, CFG) will need to be changed sometimes anyway.
