right but the quotes were there originally- i didn't add them

If you have CBA installed then shouldn't it look like -mod=@CBA;@SLX?
unless of course you installed the CBA into your regular Addons directory.

I just dumped the CBA stuff into the @SLX folder, CBA addons in the pre-existing @SLX/addons folder of course.

Why not save yourself all the hassle and get a ARMA launcher. Personally, I use the one from alpinestars?!

Have you got it to work yet?
I finally got to turn on my home computer. Blasted work schedule. :P

this is my shortcut target (yep, those quotes were there)

"C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -mod=@SLX -nosplash -world=empty

try putting "-nosplash" after "-mod=@SLX" maybe?
