I was testing this user made mission this AM... at the mission brief and start was impressive, so looking for to-wards this one.

First try, I loaded up in the vehicle... and followed Alpha squad, I wasn't thinking tactical at this time, just getting up to-wards the fight... the vehicle crosses the bridge then stops, I'm like 50 meters back, i wait, think maybe we dismount here, so I pull up and as soon as I get within 10 meters, the vehicle is ambushed and blown up... I react... OH POOP, back up and crash into the bridge, I bail out and try to engage the ambushers, team is almost immediately killed...

So, take two... and now I know about the ambush, so proper formation, about 75 yards back, waititng... I stop short after the lead vehicle stops across the bridge, nothing happens till i drive within 10 meters for the trigger... BOOM, and again, this time...per proper tactics... i punch it out of the killzone, zig zagging... but no luck thier... still taken out... 5 attempts, 5 different tactics and strategies, even dismounting... but they don't spawn in, till the ambush...

Would be a great part of the mission, IF the player could react and get out or engage.

Wow..that was pretty intense. I felt myself gritting my teeth just watching you drive around. I've seen so many of those video reports from Iraq where the troops are driving around in the HUMVEEs and the looming sense of not knowing just when something will happen is ever present.

Hmph, kinda neat I thought. Maybe not from the 2nd time through on, but not too bad for canned. I really liked OFP, I'd probably love this, right?
