I don't ordinarily like cell shading but I like the look of this game. The look and atmosphere drew me in quickly. It also has a sense of humor. Some blind guy sitting on his front porch talking about having to "take a dump" and then said "never mind, it passed". I chuckled on that one.

I only played for about 20-30 minutes so I'm only at Level 2 so it's still a bit difficulty to kill even the weaker foes (I'm playing as a Soldier, as I read a review that said that was the best choice).

I liked the intro and the song that went along with it. Catchy.

I saw a bunch of different people on playing tonight, I'm going to have to start some more characters so I have a good spread of levels for joining games.

Just wait until you start getting to the really cool guns Leemz. Right now I've got a sniper rifle that fires explosive bullets and a super powerful revolver that sets people on fire just to name a few.

Great fun

last night when I dropped out because I wasnt far enough in the story, I literaly had to cash in the quest before that bossfight, so if i'd played for 2 minutes offline, I wouldnt have wasted all that effort

( great loot though!)

jeevz , I agree, thats what I did , I have brick to play with you guys, and a siren to play with that local pal of mine , all I need now is a soldier and I have 4 characters , having a dedicated coop character is fun

I wonder if the next iteration of Borderlands will be an MMO game. It already fits the style but this is one I'd happily susbscribe to.

I actually like the fact that there isnt a subscription ( well except for Live)

Im hopeful that they will have some rocking DLC lined up!

Well most subscription model games, the ones that last any way, have a pretty constant stream of new content. I would expect that in a Borderlands MMO, I wouldn't want to pay a subscription in it's current form though I agree with Master that Borderlands is easily GOTY so far.

No subscriptions for me. Paying for Live is as far as I'm willing to go. Too many other games out there to warrant paying for this one.

And it's too early for me to declare it GoTY. But, then, of course, I'm still only a Level 2! LOL!

Maybe I'm being misunderstood. I mean if there's an MMO sequel based on this game then I would sign up. The game plays very much like an MMO eg. leveled loot, instances, respawning bosses to farm, stacking quests, the types of quests, "zones", etc. It almost feels like a test run for a true shooter MMO.
