I have decided to replay Manhattan to try to get it to work and the mission to finish.

I decided to arrest Lagushin first off. No problem, arrested her, took her to LZ Jersey using Starforce and fought off a few enemy once I got there. Unfortunately, since then I had a message saying that there was no-one to pick her up, which I presume is to give me an oppurtunity to sample the local weaponry from the wrong end for a while.

The problem is that that is as far is has got. I hung around until I got bored and then I went out and knocked out a couple of sentry posts in the nearby area, or possibly just one (I got the message twice). The problem is that I now have Lagushin running around with me everywhere.

Is there anything that I can do to get rid of her (short of just shooting her) and complete that part of the mission?

I just lugged her around with me until I completed the mission.... if you are at LZ jersey, then you are not all that far from the enemy main base.... the main base is further east from the LZ, though there is also a smal base just west from there, where the two jeep type vehicles come at you shooting when you first get to the LZ.... I attacked the main base, and killed everyone, as another one of your objectives is also at the main base, killing him completes that bit... it is a pain dragging her around everywhere, as I even tried leaving her at the friendly main base, and drove off to one of my objectives... a few minutes later, shes running out of the forest towards me !

Thanks.

I thought that might be the case somehow. This is not a game that values initiative overmuch.

Strange. I arrested her first as well. I transported my team from Manhattan in a Hummer to town, arrested her, and drove her (and my team) to LZ Jersey. I fought off the technicals and infantry attacks with the M2 .50 Cal. An Mi-24 came into assist (provided overhead cover and blew up a building) then and Mi-17 came in to pick her up. Once she was safely onboard, I continued on to a new objective driving the Hummer around. Worked great...

By the time I got to the LZ... there was a smoking hulk that appears to have been a chopper at sometime... as I think at the main base, some of the infantry are carrying SAMs and Anti Tank stuff... so if you don't get there quick enough, then they get shot down !
