Jordi!
If we do not have PCs that have the 7217/screentearing error how would we know if these drivers fix it? People with the problem such as yourself need to try them and let the community know.

I can't try em Brit, neither of my computers do suffer from this nasty bug. Just hoping it could be an improvement for some.

Yes - I tried them. Use them well so far with my other sims just fine. But no go on the menu corruption. My specs are below. Wish it were not so.

Also tried using the .ini modifications suggested by the Col. No change to the thoroughly psychedelic display at start-up. Should mention that the image is nothing like the distorted but recognizeable menu posted in the forum. Mine looks just like the modern art, myriad repeated tiny colorful rectangles I would see at start up of M1TP2, before managing to cure it. That sequence should be in the armor thread here, but I don't think that non programming approach helps with EAW.

I'm running the new drivers, with Windows 7

See thread about windows 7 for my specs.

EAW will run but has pyscho colour problems and
scrambled Briefing screen and map in campaign
mode.

Cheers,
MadProf

The new "JIM" will be released with 1.28C so at least you can set up single missions and fly with the 1.28C exe with access to all of its features. This is because 1.28C contains the "JIM" code (without the need for a different exe). It will just be a matter of launching EAW, ignoring the garbled mainscreen and clicking Ctrl-Q to start a quick mission.
At the end a couple of clicks on "Esc" will get you out of the debriefing screen.
This whole routine only runs if the user selects an instant mission (or presses Ctrl-Q) and there is a "JIM" folder with "SingMiss.mpf" file (made by the JIM utility) in it. Otherwise the "normal" instant mission routine runs.
Check the OAW128V13 thread for pictures.
