Oh yeah. Will had the star role, but Carlton was funnier than hell.

Whatever happened to him (the actor)?

Just posting here to even out the UNC:Duke ratio.

I must say that NavyNuke's shirt is a shade of blue tending more to the Durham point on the triangle. Curious... smile

Here is my homemade Transformers Soundwave costume from last year. Took a few hours to make out of some cardboard and duct tape.

It was interesting walking into house parties in this thing, turned a lot of heads!

One Halloween when I was playing in a rock band I put together a costume of Alex from Clockwork Orange. I had it all . . . the Derby hat, the cane, the long john underwear and sports cup, the fake eyelash. And then the bass player shows up in a stupid store-bought gynocologist outfit and gets all of the attention. His name tag said "Dr Seymore Muffs: Gynocologist." Sometimes effort just doesn't pay off.

My costume as Mr. Fonzworth Bentley . (Yes, I included the Wikipedia link to avoid any confusion.)

And for the record, Joe, Piper, I bought that shirt in Chile, so I don't think it's really one way or the other. I probably should have gone with a red shirt, since I'm headed to State!

Bones looks more like Sam Rami than Bruce Campbell, though.

She lives in Charlotte now. Beach might have to be responsible for it.

Curses!

I woulda had VF-84/103 Bones, but my helmet's VF-142 so I had to keep it consistant. No WAY was I taking the real stuff off, even to put on JR markings. I had my eye on an HGU-33 for a while that I woulda stripped but the deal fell through.

Cool gear Bones! I think we're the only guys here with Tomcat gear aren't we?

(ps if you have an extra LPU-23 I'll give it a good home.. biggrin )

Yes, we probably are! I actually do have an HGU-33 with VF-84 markings too. Got a pic of the markings of your VF-142 HGU?

Heh, I was lucky enough to get THIS LPU....I want one of the new ones!

I also have this HGU-33 tha tI just wanted to play around with (T-2 Buckeye sold separately):

Thanks Squog!

Here's a shot of the logo, and my winnings from last year's Halloween party. Some valuable stuff in there IIRC, movie passes an stuff:

Forgive my non pilot stance. Beer was involved. Also, do SV-2 straps go over the CSU-13s like that? I hope I didn't go through the trouble of wearing a squadron colours t-shirt only to ruin the realism by dressing in the wrong order biggrin

This is my costume for this year. Plus black boots and gloves. Got help me if it isnt cold enough I might die before the party is over.

p.s. I know, it isnt a pin striped suit, it isnt a short brim fedora and it is a leather duster and not a double breasted canvas overcoat... still I think it looks acceptable.

Well, you're missing the MA-2 parachute harness (unless you have it integrated with your SV-2B. The straps would go underneath and around the back of the thighs and clip on the D-rings on the front of the LPU-21. (kinda hard to explain in text, heh).

Well deserved prize!

Scarily, I got what you meant bones. And yes, I am missing an MA-2. One of these days I'll get one. I always thought LPU-21s were helo life preservers and 23s were for ejection seat a/c. If that's true do you know what the reason is for having the two models?

Also, what's v6 mean?

and "v6": The "v" is ASCII art for a check mark. So, "Check Six!"

My g/f thinks mine is pretty cool - let's be honest, it's a pretty classy looking desk. It's big though, so I could understand someone not liking it.

Gamer 5.1 headphones with microphone.

Now he really will be Soundwave.

He will sound cool and ominous saying "Jaguar, eject!".

Wow thanks everyone for voting! I'm excited smile PM sent Guod.

Soundwave was a lot of fun to make and wear around. Went through a lot of duct tape and acrylic paint.

I think I got asked to "do the robot" over 50 times at various bars and parties. What I really wanted to do was eject Ravage or Laserbeak on them.
