No, it isn't pay to play after you have the game.

This looks like it might be fun playing together. In the 1up review, they say that playing by yourself can get dull.

So, XBOX or PC?

Xbox is out tonight@midnight in some 1300 stores... pc isn't until next week or so, I guess.

pc = mods, patches (well, xbox games can be patched, too, right?), likely better graphics, frame rate, draw distances, and possibly better controls for fps

Just got it on xbox. Gonna play a bit. If it's nice and more folks are on pc playing regularly, i'll get that, too.

sure, i realize that. i just thought there was more of a pc crowd here, but consoles seem to be the platform of choice for more and more folks.

Can someone clue me in? This might be THE title to introduce my new rig. From what I gather - Science Fiction FPS/RPG combo with procedural created content, so endless re playability?

I would do, and on PC, but I am not buying anymore games until I play the demo or hear customer feedback.

The reviews in this thread explain it pretty well:

The IGN comparison said PC has the best graphics. Not that that is really surprising.
