This is a short mission for the Nieuport 28 set up at Verdun, in which you will have to take off, fly low and pass under two bridges. It uses the green circles from the official training missions.

EDIT: Updated: Nieuport 28 Training - Mission 01 - version 1.1

Now you have a climb-and-dive with banked gate-passing sequence in the final stage biggrin

hehe, excellent Laser! another unofficial ME lesson, thanks. would be fun to put timers in and race against the clock, with scolding like we got in the training missions if too slow. or maybe even make it a multiplayer airstart, RoF air racing!

wonder if two N28s would fit side by side under the bridges ...

I don't know how precise those timers are, but indeed at least some timers could be placed to check if you finished under 3 minutes, or under 2 minutes 45 seconds and so on, and give a different subtitle or mission outcome as result.

In a COOP mission, first plane for one side passing through a final check zone trigger can set mission status and end the mission favorably for its side. If the 2 running ways are put in parallel at a well-thought distance, the slower party could choose to fire against the planes in front from the parallel line, to 'slow' them with bullets.

S!

Hmmm, how about an orienteering race? Randomly generated waypoints you have to navigate to. At that location is a ring you have to fly through. Each plane gets their own (identical) series of waypoints and the first through all of their set is the winner.

Yes, and passing through a gate could simulate 'taking a photo' to prove you went there.

I would love to fly a navigation-oriented mission, exactly to teach myself this smile

Fun and quick - that take off into the trees is brutal though... I found going N for takeoff was much safer.

True. I aim for one of the 2 spaces between trees, and to see them i'm forced to rise the tail of the plane as early as possible - which should be a good thing. And i should also de-activate each 'check zone' trigger after going through the gates, not only the gates.

I'm thinking how to use the circles for maneuvers. Not many ideas so far ... For loops, Immelmans etc. Pity one can not check directly what the orientation of the plane is at one moment.
