Just got back from an exciting weekend in California's north coast, taking in the American Le Mans Series final race of the 2009 season at Laguna Seca. For several years I've wanted to attend that race, and finally the planets aligned and I was able to go.
I spent a total of 10 hours at the track, took in the view at every corner, and serendipitously found myself at the start-finish line for a heart-in-the-throat 20 minutes of what has to be the most exciting and dramatic finish in the history of the ALMS. Simply incredible.
