I´ve just done some skins for IL2 and even purchased RoF, so i will check out this stuff. I´m very interested in ww 1 aviation, may be i can do some colourfull Albatros DV skins. Will take some time ...

One question: When the skins are done, how will they be converted back into the RoF format (GTP)?

They're not compressed back into the GTP archives; you create a new folder for skins for each plane (there's a set nomenclature) - and the game checks those folders for additional skins.

Like he said and the skins will be in DDS format.

Thanks Musicman. I flew last night on TT server with your Leslie Holden skin. Some of the squad flying out took the Mick saying that I stuck out like a sore thumb. I decided that caution was in order so I stayed high above until I saw someone giving SAS a hard time, dropped in behind and scored my first multiplayer. Having lived in Adelaide like Les perhaps brought me luck.

Uhm....actually, it was pretty hard to not notice you. I was blinded by the glare when you took off beside me.

Is the Leslie Holden skin supposed to be pure white?

That was how it showed up

Does everyone in Adelaide fly white airplanes or just Leslie Holden (and you, of course)????

And do the Adelaide Crows wear white as well?

Actually it should have been Red perhaps there is something to add to make it show up in Multiplayer. From memory a lot of the a/c at Parafield were white but not quite that intense.

As have been stated many times, custom skins wont work in multiplayer if others dont have same skins (your plane will be totally white to players that havent installed that skin).

As I stated at the beginning of this post.
"Please note these skins will NOT show up in multiplayer! I advise you do not use them in multiplayer because no one else will see them. They will just be all white."

I guess he skipped the very first page and what I wrote. Tisk tisk. Shame on you for not reading the instructions. LOL!
