On this subject, I disagree with what Greg has come up with. Ltn. Ernst Udet's Fok.DR.I in Jasta 4 was not black and white, but light blue and red stripes. Ltn. Udet had it repainted when he got it in Jasta 4.
It was black and white when Ltn. Kirschstein flew it in Jasta 6

Re-Paint, why? .... Pride, Udet was making a name for himself, why would he want to fly a machine in someone elses colors, specially, when he was a lesser ace!

EDITED: In answer to your questions:
1. I think the light sky blue was from the Fok.DR.I spares.
2. I believe the inner sides of the wheels were painted the red and light blue the same as the outer sides.
3. The middle and lower wings upper surfaces were painted in the Factory streaked finish with the under surfaces in the sky blue/turquoise finish.
4. I have the multi view color drawing that shows the finish of all the wings , top and bottom and both sides of the fuselage. It is available through Paypal
through my website Dan-San Abbott.com, at $7.00 plus $2.00 P & H, USA and $5.00 foriegn addresses. Be sure to list to specifically list the drawing, "Ltn. Ernst Udet's Fok.DR.I multi-view colored drawing." The drawing is in 1/72 scale and will enlarge to 22" x 17 " very clearly. The original was done in 1/36 scale, you will have all the detail. The original was sold.
