Okay, so it only took me a month to figure this one out, and it took a squaddie to point me in the right direction.

No matter what I did in the settings, I couldn't get Black Shark to let me view ground objects externally using the F7 key.

TIR5 software has a "trap key" option, which makes those commands exclusive to the TIR unit. Unclicking the box allows the F keys to be recognized by other software.

So if one runs into the same problem, that's the solution.
