I also am having problems. To solve my lpf4.cab problem I just ended up buying a new computer. The game loaded and is patched to the lastest version, however when I get into the pit it crashes the game, everything freezes up and when I exit the game via ctrl alt del and end task, it loads to the same place it was when it crashed the next time I try to enter the game. I have to reboot machine for it to start up again. Any ideas?

Windows 7
Intel Core i7 860 2.80ghz
8gb DDR3 RAM
GeForce GTS240 1024mb

Disable physx in your nvidia driver. That will give a slight boost in all games. Also, for Falcon 4 choose singlecore in the driver, that should be best for an old game like Falcon.
