Good News: The Flying Finn stepped up and improved the Finnish bogey calls, so there's an element of a Nations update in this!
Admittedly, some of the planes are not quite 'Expansion' standard, but to create a separate Finnish Legacy pack at this stage of the game just seemed silly.
Enjoy!

OTHER CHANGES
Blenheim I - Turret no longer missing in some loadouts, general clean up.
H75 Hawk - Minor tweaks.
IL-4: Added pilot, fixed some LOD switchin values; corrected some bad OPS code and bomb/depth charge pylon locations.
Pe-2: Corrected pilot and nav LOD switchin values so you can't see yourself in the position you occupy; corrected bad damage code in the HStabs, wing tips and engines that were causing CTDs; fixed bad inertia value for fuselage, corrected some code for parts that were supposed to go away when certain aircraft pieces blew up or detached; corrected texture refs and SM file refs; corrected erratic flying parts when the aircraft blew up.
All of the plane fixes are the work of ArgonV. Beta testing was done by Skid. loadout tweaks are by ArgonV and Skid. Project direction, initial testing, and skin/GUI/PPF work were by 3dp.
This install also replaces Data47.par, the Finnish Nations file. It updates the Finnish graphics and replaces the in-flight Finnish radio calls with improved versions by The Flying Finn.

Version 1.0
NOTE: You must have NO prior versions of any of the planes contained herein already installed to properly use this PlanePack.
Background
This pack simply bundles together a group of Finnish planes into one neat PAR file. It contains planes from the older 'Legacy' packs that are of a higher level of finish than planes from the 'Legacy' packs that have not been included in this new pack. It also contains high quality planes released since the original 'Legacy' packs were put together. In time, it may also include planes demoted from the 'BasePack'. The intention is to create a clear hierarchy:
- BasePack: For a solid set of high quality planes, evenly distributed among the major nations.
- Expansion PlanePacks: For high quality planes not in the BasePack.
- Legacy PlanePacks: For less finished, generally older planes.
By creating the Expansion packs, each download will become decidedly smaller and more manageable. Also, bundling planes into single file packs (a PAR file, see below) allows them to work with Skin packs.
Changes
The latest versions of the planes at the time this pack was compiled are included pretty much as released. Any changes to them will be noted in the plane's readme file, which you can find in the 'Plane Info' sub-folder in the 'Media' folder after installation. As a rule:
- All non-alpha/non-transparency TIF and BMP files have been converted to 256-color/Indexed Color mode to save space. This was done in Adobe Photoshop, which achieves a virtually perfect conversion, as opposed to allowing the PAR file creator to do it, achieving much poorer results.
- All of the Hangar pictures have been re-shot for consistency across packs.

What the Install Does
It puts a folder for each plane into Fighter Squadron/Media/Aircraft, an alternative loader screen into Fighter Squadron/Media/GUI/Art, plane information files into Fighter Squadron/Media/Plane Info, miscellaneous information files into Fighter Squadron/Media/Other Info, and a file called Data26.par into Fighter Squadron/Media. All of the actual working files (SMs, TIFs, PPFs, etc.) are contained in the PAR file. The 'Loader800_FiEPP.tif file is included as a loader screen option but is named as such so as not to overwrite an already existing one. To use it, change the name of your current 'Loader800.tif' to something else if there's one present and you want to retain it, and then delete the "_FiEPP" from 'Loader800_FiEPP.tif' to make it 'Loader800.tif'. Finally, the folders called 'Plane Info' and 'Other Info' contain any plane- and object-specific information you may need to use some of the planes to their fullest extent as well as historical and builder information.
