Did the first 2 missions... a very good tactical shooter, not a "military simulation", but definitely not no Battlefield or Call of Duty clone, this is a TACTICAL SHOOTER! I dare anyone to try and play it as a run and gun...

The graphics are good, maybe just under great, the sounds are some of the best ever... hearing the chain links from the SAW dropping onto the rock surfaces.. wow... Trying to sneak to a target zone, using terrian... then having something huge open up next to you tearing up foliage, dirt, etc etc... looking up to see it's a enemy chopper spraying a 20 or 30 mm (whichever, I don't know)... running like hell to some nearby woods to get lost... incredible... calling in artillery, big guns etc etc... being one team in many... yep, don't let the nay sayers fool you, this is a tactical shooter...

and yes their are problems/issues... don't like the controls and movements too much, kinda gets me dizzy, lol... keyboard commands are weird and different, and call it lack of understanding but I can't figure out and read that map, maybe in time... AI is good, better then any other shooter but still not perfect.

It's NOT the king of tactical shooters, but it is a tactical shooter folks... play it as it was designed and you will see.

now some screens from the first 2 missions... and DAMN I keep running out of ammo... hate that...

OK... need 3 buddies! wink

Glad to hear it. Can't wait to try it.

Is it just me, or are the colors really that bland? It has a sort of GR:AW/sepia look to it.

My guess is they had to make some concessions with the number of colors in favor of being able to render an entire island. I'd rather have that than the typical small maps you typically get in games like CoD.

I'm reading some reviews and they look favorable, did it feel scripted ?

I know it ain't the same, but the interface/HUD looks incredibly similar to that from BF2. The reviews have been favorable so far, but not ecstatic, which is exactly what I was expecting. I'll give it a run when it's dirt cheap...

A good console game maybe but not much use for the PC with no coop. The island looks bad from the air and flying a chopper feels like flying a R C.
I tested the AI. Nothing great. They use bounding overwatch to move. 2 stay back and 2 move forward but they don't use any cover.
Looking at AI from a distance with binos is strange, they often run in mid air.
I like the sounds and dirt getting kicked up near you by gun fire.

It's getting a little frustrating... mainly running out of ammo ALL THE TIME, reading and understanding the map and command menu, and AI control... not that those are game killers, maybe more time with it and I'll learn...

IE: I've attempted one part of the 3rd mission 5 times already only to be slaughtered, and thats on normal difficulty, lol... a big danger area to cross with no support or other type of suppression... your 4 fireteam members against about 30 bad guys... I run out of ammo every time, even on single shot... my AI has a M203 attached but for some reason won't use the damn thing... ya, 4 player co-op would/will be the BOMB. wink
