Anyone where you start inside a hangar (Slovakia, I believe).

If your flight >1, then your poor hapless AI plane will lift off into the rafters.

Lerche takes off straight up. So, any QMB mission where your (or they) start in a hangar... well...

Aaah, I see what you mean. That will be a problem.

Me262, are you sure you are not in the "gunsight" view in one picture and in "cockpit" view in the second one?

I'm pretty sure in cockpit view, but I will try it again.

That wouldn't be an issue if the IL-2 patches got with the program and were EXE installers like what every other PC game publisher uses. That way if you try to run a patch on an install that is missing a prerequisite version it will give you an error message and wont proceed.

Geeze, Panzer. I actually prefer IL2's way of patching.

Round up the new files and archive 'em, post 'em.

Nothing fancy, no registry requirements, etc.

Just gotta be smarter than the average bear, I guess.

Having the IQ requirement is not an issue for me but if something can be made to run and process faster and more convenient then why not? smile

My max framerate is lower. I'm NOT using the new clouds or increased landscape distance either... Water is set to 2. Using 2x FSAA and 2x Anisotropy filtering. Running in OpenGL on Perfect mode. I have side-by-side installs of 4.09m and a 4.08m of IL-2: 1946. With 4.08m I'm getting 15-20 fps more in the Black Death track for the max frame rate (85 being max as I use v-sync and play at 1280x960). In 4.09m the highest I get is 60ish, with the exact same settings as the 4.08m install.

ArgonV,

At first I was also curious but I have not seen any frame rate difference. In fact, I just did a Black Death test and 4.09 actually was a tiny bit faster:

4.08m: Average 123 FPS
4.09m: Average 127 FPS

Both graphics settings were the same as well as the conf settings.
