It was a long shot. There used to be guy from the Washington state that posted here. His name was Bill and his nick was Chief. He was a retired Master Chief. Looking at your post, you sounded like him. Good guy.

Bill,

It's nice that you have a CD full of JF-18 mods, but to start off you really are best served by installing JF-18 clean and then putting TSH v4.02 on top of it. Chances are that TSH v4.02 encompasses more than 50% of the contents of your CD, all in a neat package.

And just to let you know, the message you got about JF-18 having a compatibility problem with that version of Windows is expected; this is the message you get on Windows XP, Vista, or 7 when you do not have the v1.01F patch installed. Apparently you installed it as part of your process. This patch is integrated into TSH v4.02.

Bill, this is really late in the coming, but you'll notice W7 constantly complains "X may not have been installed correctly...select to reinstall with recommended settings" I have found these notices to be completely erroneous in all cases. Furthermore, it irritates me that it only gives you this warning after you install your 4GB program...

I am guessing, but I think that most of all, it is to warn you to set an appropriate compatibility mode for the installer. After all, if you select "reinstall with the recommended settings" after that warning pops-up, it just re-runs the installer in the appropriate compatibility mode. If you don't the setup (and the resulting program) may not function properly; in my case, all of my apps were fine without it.
