here are a couple I really wanted to have installed and do

http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=84253

http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=7423

I also use this little tool to activate and deactivate the mods. I can use the installed ARMA2 shortcut to keep my game vanilla.

I'm using
GTDMods:
Binoculars- adds a heading readout when looking thru binos
Compass - makes the compass with higher contrast colors so it's easier to see
Plants/Clutter - stops the grass and bushes from "growing" as you get closer, also adds FPS

Fixed Range Nightvision: Makes the brightness of the HDR with NV goggles manually adjustable on-the-fly.

JTD Fire and Smoke: Changes the smoke and adds the ability for forests, houses, and bushes/plants to catch fire.

LandTex 1.0: Changes the texture of the terrain to look better at long distance/while flying

SakuraChan mods:
Night Lighting Effects - Better looking lights from vehicles and streetlamps. No more 'cones'
Weapon Smoke Replacement - No more lame "puffs" of smoke from rifles
Non-blinding lights - Makes the sun and vehicle lights less 'blinding'

AT_GUI pack - Changes FOV, chat box location, disables peripheral markers...basically TrueMods GUI for Arma2

HiFi A-10 Sounds - Changes A-10/Harrier weapon and engine sounds. Once you hear the GAU-8 fire overhead you'll never look back biggrin

Sound of War

Deadfast's Chat position fix - Fixes the chat text to properly align to the bottom of the screen. I was using AT_GUI, but this one aligns it a little better

Here's my mod list (Operation Arrowhead friendly) ...

Community Base Addons (CBA) (you need the event handler in this for a lot of the mods below)

GDT Binoculars (adds digital heading readout and extra zoom to Binos, Laser Desig.)
GDT NV Goggles (full screen NV, no goggle effect)
GDT HDR (locks aperature, user adjustable on the fly, good for brightening up morning or dusk hours and especially usefull for NV (bright lights don't darken the display))
GDT Sun (reduced sun glare)

ShackTac Fireteam HUD (STHUD) (shows names of people in your fireteam and a top down "radar" showing where they are)
ShackTac stmovement mod for enhanced weapons handling around obstactles (great for CQBs)

Digital Compass (shows digital compass heading on screen, all the time)

JSRS Sound Mod
WarFX: Blastcore visual effects

TrueMods (I like the trueuser_igui_commandbar and trueuser_igui_gunhud_bigtext modules from this set)

FXAA (last but not least, and not really a Mod, but Timothy Lottes' pixel shader based anti-aliasing method)

I checked to see whether the GTD Binocular addon (adds digital compass) works with the changed binos we use in the SimHQ ACE2 package.

Happily, the digital display appears right in the new gridline bino display.

This is a must have for everyone who likes the G36:
http://armed-assault.de/downloads/g36-reflex-visier-fix.html

BWMod has a similar solution shipping with their mod.

the download links are not allowed by Armaholic and the actual file links are therefore dud.

Try 'p85 mods' in their search engine which should lead you to all the latest p85 dl links (and well worth it they are too)

Thanks at least for the HU, vilas smile
