I was working on an AAR for a Rise of Flight mission and in the interests of making the screenies look the best they could cranked up the settings, including the "drops" and "blood" in the post processing.

My frames per second actually went up!

Oddest thing to have a 10+ fps jump with higher settings, but on my system it actually unfolded that way.

I also noticed that the water drips on the goggles in rain slide to the side in accordance with the slip I was making at lower speeds. Very helpful in the NP17, which doesn't have a turn-and-bank indicator!

The opinions of this poster are largely based on facts and portray a possible version of the actual events.

So ... you'll only fly the N17 in the rain? biggrin

Very interesting ... I'll have to give that a shot and see what it does to my framerate.

Well, I was one of the luck guys who was struck by a massive stuttering after patch 1.006... I didn't change any settings before applying the 1.006 / 1.007 patch and the game became unplayable in many occasions!

The weird thing are the stutters just show up when I try to refly the mission, and this stutter happens in some only point of view - cockpit or external - if I got FPS drops in cockpit the external view is just fine.
