Hi!

I downloaded a couple of sound and model mods for some planes, but I only lost sound for the A10. I tried removing the mods but still no sound.

Mod that are tied to the A10:

HighRes A-10 Pilot and Seat Skin
SIMMOD A-10A MODEL LOF
zzzspace v8.0 soundpack for LOCK ON 1.02
New A-10 Cockpit

Help would be appreciated

EDIT: oh, and if someone could help me with the white contour line on objects

Hello. I guess that the first thing I would do is use Windows Explorer to navigate to the sound folder which can be found here: C:/Program Files / UBISOFT / Eagle Dynamics / LOMAC / Sounds / Effects. The first three entries should be A10around, A10back and A10frontengine.ogg. If those entries have not been corrupted and are there then we will have to look elsewhere for a solution but take a look at this first and report back and we'll go from there.

As for the white lines, it would be helpful to see a screenprint of what you are talking about. Can you provide?

yes all a10 sound are there, and I can ear them if I play them with a 3rd party program, that's why I find it strange. I'll post a pic soon

Honestly, I don't know what to suggest except that something in the new A10 mods that you downloaded corrupted some file somewhere. Did you keep a backup of the config and bazar folders? I always have a spare one of those that I keep as a backup because most often, if something gets screwed up, it's usually in one of those folders. Then you can narrow it down by process of elimination by substituting parts of the original files back into those folders. Did you happen to keep a backup of the original config and bazar folders?

This process will also work for narrowing down the issue with the white lines. I've been on this forum for a long time and I've never seen that particular issue. I have one of those myself that has never been solved (no weapons rails on my A10 - i.e. weapons hanging in mid air) that I haven't figured out yet.

Finding the culprit for the white lines will depend on how much time you want to invest in it I guess. Maybe some of our forum colleagues can offer a suggestion about where the problem might be found.

You don't say what your video card is. I'm guessing that is where your issue is with the white lines. Perhaps you could tell us the video card and what drivers you are using. Have you tried updating the drivers for the card?

About the missing A10 sound. I had the same problem. It always appeared using one of the sound packs and the included sound.cfg. AFAIK, you have 3 cfg files. One for the normal sond range, one for medium and one for fast computers using a sound distance which is strechted quite a bit. When you use a sound.cfg file with an increased sound distance, the A10 sound dissapears. Go back to the stock, the sound if back. Atleast, that's what i had on my machine. Haven't played LOMAC for ages. Gotta reinstall it. With my new videocard and 37" LCD, it would be quite some experience i guess smile

It's a LOMAC bug/issue when using max setting for shadow, bumping shadow down one notch is the only way to fix this at the moment (lets hope ED fix it in a upcoming patch).

Btw. I have read that a new patch is indeed planned or already worked on? Is that true?
