Hope it's still being worked on and coming along great. Need a WW2 sim where the airplanes are as realistic as RoF. Now I'm spoiled.

I've been wondering the same.

It's not. I closed production a few months ago. Progress was too slow and the engine had too many issues that we were unable to overcome, plus further funding was a problem. So I re-focused my energies on publishing where I could have a better impact on the simulation genre.

I was afraid of that, just didn't want to say it. Well...it was a promising idea. Maybe some time in the future.

Depressing news. I am not a huge P-47 fan, but more high quality flight sims is always better for me. I would have bought this one and enjoyed it. Oh well, another sim under development bites the dust.

I think that's a business decision I'd go with too Jason. From my point of view your a huge asset to the sim community and by you focusing your efforts in a relevant way helps keep you in business and even better, keeps YOU around. We need guys like you in the sim business!

I figured this was going to happen, but tried not to be too negative. The Merlin engine has too many issues, and a core that few people if any fully understood.

We can hope that things will align just right in the future.

The Merlin Engine is not too bad. It can do a lot of cool stuff. The problem is that it lacks some basic tools that are user friendly to quickly develop a new sim. All of this could have been overcome with some more cash, but my initial investor bailed out when the economy went south. The guys on the team did all they could with what we had, but it was a losing battle with time. I could not ask them to do anymore without some more help. Wasn't fair.

Some of the advancements and fixes made by my team ended up in the BDGs hands anyway so they can apply it to BOB2.

I still want to actually develop something and I amassed a HUGE library of refernce material on the PTO and its aircraft in the process. So someday this Jug adventure will be of use afterall.

Jason did you do any work on the Merlins On=Line feature. BOB WOV would be great fun on-line expecially with WOV rearming feature.
