I think the jet engine runs as a result of a miscalculation somewhere, and when they find the error all jet engines will stop. As for how the comms people get those data transfers sorted, I don't think it works at all! It's all a big scam. They're secretly maintaining copies of all of the intrawebs on local servers all over the place and shove the data back and forth during the nights on large numbers of 56 kbps modems. Those I understand to the point where I'll believe in them.
