It should be in Fry's shortly, but not at Best Buy, to the best of my knowledge.

When will this be on sale in the UK?
And where?
The Logitech uk site doesn't list it, nor does it give any retailers.
Tell them to get their finger out Mark.

Just wishing to add my two cents.
th
I'm really glad with the launch of this product. I'm defently looking to buy this, probably not right off at launch because I'll probably have to save up bit. But there are a couple of things I really wish you had done diferently. First like has been said before there really should be more HAT's on the stick. The microstick on the stick is two fold for me, it would have been better on the throttle, but I can see the reason to put it on the stick also, ideally? Two Microsticks! One on the stick the other on the throttle.
Secondly Again like has been said, I think it's a real design flaw to have put the trims on the stick base, they really belonged on the throttle base. Those collored buttons? Nice but could have done without.
I do have a question about the trims though, it has been already replied that they have a limit in their travel (and unlike someone's opinion, on lockonfiles review I think, I do not agree they should have a detent they shouldn't actually, the other rotaries on the throttle however should) what's I would like to ask is if the trims are multi-turn or regular 270º or so travel?
I have read something about the trim and stick centering when you let go of it. I don't know if I understood the issue fully, and I have never really tried a FF stick in my life (well actually once I did for 5 minues but I'm not counting that) but as far as I undertand the stick kind of dies out because before was working agaisnt the hand that held it, where as in beeing let go an optical sensor detects this and put's it in a sort of self centering mode. The thing is not beeing a real pilot and all but the way I undertand forces in flight in straight and level the forces you feel shouldn't be trying to yank the stick out of your hand but rather keep it rather centered in the first place (with oscilations and such from airflow and movement) because the airflow on the control surfaces forces them to lineup with the direction of the said flow. Now when we trim the aircraft we actually offset the cetering of the stick because we have offset the control surfaces. Through all of this it's maily when trying to move the stick that we will feel oposing forces because we are moving them agains't the force that the airflow actuates on the control surfaces. From what I read I'm not shure this is how FF is beeing implemented. but if it isn't It should, with I'm sure much better input from people with actuall flight experience.

Anyway just my two cents, and me pointing out what I feel are shortcomings on the product doen't mean I don't think It's a great product with no other direct rivals on the market for what it offers at the moment.

P.S the extra micro switch should not have been a problem since you are detecting the setup as 3 devices you could has you know have gone to 24 axes.

P.S.2 Really would have liked the possibility to connect each controller separate from the others, but I'm sure a lot of people apreciate the single USB port use.

well thats why response curves are needed in the joysticks/game controller software...

most games are not like black shark, and steel beasts, which these games have options in game...

i love battlefield 2, especially flying its vehicles. but the options are limited, but because i can do so much with the CH control manager, it just allows me to use my game controllers EFFECTIVELY... no hassle.

all i am going to say is that, CH products and the thrustmaster cougar are currently, the advanced flight simmers choice of peripheral (not taking account for those who use yokes)..

most others who have x52 probably have it because its cheap and has alot of controls...

some one should start a poll on what peripheral / game controller used...

Couple of questions:

1. What stores are going to carry them?
2. When can they start shipping them?

As a grad student, I may not buy the first batch, but I look forward to the youtube vids and reviews.

Saw about 6 of them Fry's today. $299.99 each (Austin, TX)

Very tempting. I'll wait for some reviews to come out. I currently have a HOTAS setup with pedals. Only thing I gain from G940 is the FFB. I still stood there for about 10 minutes staring at the box wanting to grab one and not look back.
I'll crack eventually.

Any idea where someone can get one of these in Canada?

Unfortunately there is no Fry's in San Francisco; the nearest being quite a ways to the south (to a guy in San Francisco attending a conference anyways). I'll have to try to find one in Canada when I get home.

Saw it at Frys yesterday. It's too bad they didn't have a display model out to fiddle with.
