AFAIK Fry's is the only brick & mortar store in North America where you can get G940. The rest is e-commerce, with Amazon and others.

I bought mine at Frys today.

This thing looks awesome! I am just starting to program Rise of Flight (good force feedback - no pitch problem using the G940) and IL-2. I have been a CH fan for a while so it will be different using these controls.

The only two negatives I have are no detents on the 3 trim wheels and R1 and R2 on the throttle, and I can't seem to program keys like "delete" or page up" with the keystroke recorder.

Good job Logitech

Any firm UK details yet - release date - prices etc.

Also, there any pdf manuals or docs available so we see see the details and learn what she can do whilst waiting for her to arrive here in the UK.

The readme file was a generic readme that had wingman joystick references. The weblink in the program also links to the wingman product page.

I would like to see a manual on programing but it was not included. edit: I found a guide in the programing file.

I played IL-2 and ROF with it until the wee hours last night. IL-2 easy to program (though my Track-IR center keystroke is "page up" and I cannot seem to figure out how to program this). ROF had the same issues as my CH products, test in game, inverse axis, test again. The force feedback works great in ROF and all of the pitch problems I have experienced has gone away with the G940!

So... it is not available in Canada then. Amazon.com will not ship to Canada. Fry's does not exist in Canada. And the Canadian Logitech site has no knowledge of the product.

Strange! I ordered from Amazon and it showed the item as being in stock (it said two left). The order processed and it shows an expected receipt of 9 or 10 September. It has not yet shipped as of 1600 EDT Sunday but this is a US holiday weekend so I would expect things to be shut down.

The strange part is that when I just looked at the product page in Amazon it showed the G940 as being once again on pre-order status and specifically says it has not been released yet. I wonder if this just means they depleted initial stock or if there is a distribution problem. Guess I'll have to wait and see.

I looked at the proposed Saitek X65 and personally decided that a bird in hand was better than two in the (future) bush. I have been a Saitek user for many years and my current X52 Pro HOTAS and pedals have served me well. But they (Saitek) are not known for the stability of their releases (especially the software support) and hiven the new technology in this X65 I fully expect to see initial problems.

For now, the G940 seems to be the FFB way to go for a HOTAS system and Rugg's review was fairly positive. We shall see what we shall see ;-o}

Hi, JG52Lucky, you can program the HOME/DELETE key through the "key-stroke" function of the button. You can even record something like "SHF-DELETE". The command function is more like "macro" function.
