Me too have bought 1 last friday but i'm iving in Singapore. And i'm surprised that the G940 have been available since 2 weeks back.
Anyway, so far i'm quite happy with it and the force feedback is different from all that i've used previously. Back in the day, MSFFB2 and Logitech Force 3D the force feedback is crazy that its shaking so much that i can't even fly properly. In IL2, its total chaos as the stick just shake so much that all my bullets is flying all over the place but not on my target. Annoying.
G940, i can feel the force but not to a point where it affect my control. Good enough for me. Another think is that i can adjust the virtual spring strength.
My HOTAS history is X-36, Cougar and now the G940. Cougar is good but the spring is too stiff for me and its not easy to use it. G940, i can set how stiff i want it to be.
Only complain is Trim 1 to 3, R1 and R2 have no detent! How the heck are we suppose to know where is the current position without looking at it? And i mean the purpose of HOTAS is to allow you to concentrate more on the screen. Not always having to look at my G940 when i'm trying to fine tune my flight during combat. A serious fact that to me, its kind of breaking this cool gear.
Another thing is the Microstick on the throttle. its not really a microstick. Its basically a 8-Hat which looks like the Microstick on the joystick. The trim that is on the base of the joystick is fine for me but i really need the detent on it so i know where my trimming position is. Same goes to R1 and R2.
Another problem which i have is the R1 and R2, sometime games like IL2 can't detect it at 100%.
Example i set the R2 as my Prop Pitch. Pushing all the way forward only gets me to 98 or 99%. I have to push forward and back multiple time before it can goes into the 100% range.
Another issue is the profile that come with the software. Only IL2 is working. DCS, F4 got zero profile. And keying all the commands is a very tedious work.
I mean, G940 is made for the simmer and obviously there ain't that many sim out there. Its only the few which basically F4, IL2, LOMAC, DCS... hmm can't remember the rest. So i believe it ain't that hard to release the profile for this few popular sim right?
Ok, finished my rants. Now back to my game.

at first, sorry for my poor english
I have "two" problems with my brand new G940
I have been playing DCS:BS with G940 for 4 days here, in Asia
one thing is about trimming, at flying bird.
when I press the trim key (T), the stick is going under low FF power,
but it does "not" keep position where i want. after in 1sec, the stick recenters.
any position, any direction as same the stick recenters.
this is my first time to use FF joystick, so I don`t know why. why? why?
I have changed every setting in profile, FF setting, but same result
is it impossilbe to trim with G940 joystick? I am much dissapointed, and regretful
moreover I can`t find any feedback from logitech, where could I get helpful solution?
and the profile is not complete under my OS windows 7.
I could`t start many games under logitech profile. whenever I click "start the game XXX"
nothing seems to be happen. I wanna updated version above 5.06 of logitech profile
second is calibration problem of ministick on joystick.
the ministick`s center is NE of intended center a little.
I used program enclosed with release CD. but I could not recalibrate at all
there is no mini X tap on program.
at axis command in DCS:BS option, the DCS:BS detect the mini X as slide X
and mini Y as slide Y. could I map ministick as other than slide?
in game as IL-2 there are no problems, but impossilbe trimming much annoys!
Mark, please help me. or update gaming profile!
my impression : No trimming, no worth

Check the Logictech Forms if you have a problem with installing the stick with your 64 bit OS.

There is a more recent software build out, published after the G940 went into production. The production version was 5.06. 5.07 is available for download, but not yet linked to G940. You can get the proper download by following the support links from the G27 racing wheel.
We are making further improvements, and I'll post the notice when the next update comes out.

Thanks Mark, 5.06 installed w/o a hitch on my 7 and Vista Ultimate 64, so I was unable to contribute anything useful to David's post. What I have been trying to determine is if there is any way of "emulating" a single controller solution as being deprived of X3:Terran Conflict is going to be a real deal-breaker for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm LOVING it in IL-2 and FSX but hopefully you folks will be able to implement something like PPJoy for 64bit systems in a driver update or add-on utility. Again, this is the best force-feedback stick I've used since my old Wingman Force from 10 years ago! I must say after owning my G25 for a while deciding on this was a done deal.

There isn't currently a way to emulate a single controller. We are looking at an "Arcade" option that lets you select from the axes and create a single controller for legacy games. No promises or time line for now.

I would love to talk to you online about this! are you on hyperlobby any time? I would like to jump on ts and I could look threw what your system is showing vs me.
