Tomorrow I'll find out what mighty training aircraft I'll learn in next.

In T-6, I had 75 flight sorties totaling 96.3 hours. 75 full stops and 148 Touch and Goes with 223 total landings. 21 sorties of simulator instruments (FAA rated) totaling 27.5 hours.

In my last sortie, I did a low level (VR-1014) and was 0 seconds off time on final way point simulating bomb/cargo drop. I surprised myself since on previous point I was +15 seconds off. After RTB we did a landing contest with IP as to who can land better. Goal was to land slowest / softest on captain bars (1,000 foot marker). Strategically, I asked IP to go first so that I can see what winds are doing. Contest was two parts; first regular landing and second ELP from low key. Looser buys coke for each loss. I came victorious that contest on both landings. biggrin What a sortie to end flying T-6.

My 'hero' picture from last sortie.

LOL, that's great! biggrin But hey, don't they put you trainee pilots to work washing those T-6s? Those are some nice exhaust smudges down the sides there! smile

Nice job Sim! Good luck on the next phase of your training. The good news is, with 95 hours - you are pretty much qualified to fly for a regional airline already! biggrin wink

Looking forward to reading more of this thread in your next aircraft. It has been fun watching you experience the struggles, rewards, and thrills of your training. Keep up the great work..

Regards..

Next training airframe is T-1. By the end of phase 3, I will have 190 hrs in it.

Tomorrow bright and early academics start for 4 weeks straight before we hit flightline.
