Good race everyone. Good series too, finished all the races pretty much(engine blew last lap in Valencia). Started 8th or something with DC right behind me so I decided not to hold him up at the start so I let him by, along with everyone else. After that I just started passing all the people up to 5th, where I tapped doug in the bustop and my front wing came off. Lucky the pit entrance is right there so no big deal. The rest of the race I was racing with ktel to try and catch him when he pitted, which I did, then tried to stay ahead of him when I pitted, which I did because he crashed I guess. After that I just took it easy, went to boost 1 and cruised to the end.

Mini Series 3 - Final Points

There were several sterling performances during this series, but its hats off to Mr. Coutie who managed to maintain such consistency that it put him into 4th overall! Excellent management Alex!

I was so happy to see LazyC get that 2nd place after a dismal first two races. Well done friend!

In two weeks we will see if 10 show up and the series continues. There are 2 black marks already against the series so if you enjoy it, please make an effort to attend. 10 is the minimum for a certified race, and continuance of the F1 series.

The last race of the year will be 100% length and 100% damage settings. I believe the actual event is at dusk, so our race will have an additional challenge. Wouldn't it be fun for just once to have a full grid for the series finale?

Thanks smile

I will not be able to fully complete the final race if it is full length, unless we start earlier, but I'd rather keep the race distance consistent with the rest of the championship, but I'll roll with what is set.

Also 100% damage on a new street circuit, you may get lots of starters but not finishers Wounded biggrin

Yup, was tearing up the straight and saw smoke ahead, hit the brakes to avoid what looked like a car rejoining the track and spun. Missed everything fortunately and carried on without damage. Later that lap I think it was I lost concentration and took the front wing off and headed for the pits. Managed to slide into the pit wall on entry that I found out to my cost later damaged my suspension. Pitted, got a new front wing and rejoined the track only to find out that my steering was off and the car felt like crap. End result was I binned it and tore a front wheel off, race over. Annoyed with myself that a stupid mistake prevented me from finishing.

That was the first race I have done in a long time and even though it was in a car set I do not normally enjoy (F1's) I had a blast. Luckily, I found the set up of this mod/track combo very forgiving and after about 30 mins practise found that lowering the wings (12/18) and lengthening the gears resulted in a car that was stable enough to drive for the race.
